Happy end of 2022
What a wild ride we’ve had in the last three years. It’s like that old curse, “May you live in interesting times.”
If you’ve been around here for very long, you know that I like to keep it casual. It’s just me talking to you with as little pretense as possible in this medium and its resultant dynamic.
Anyway.
*Coughs and stretches.*
There are some fairly major projects wrapping up right now and what I can say is that in 2023 there will be two major projects scheduled to be released on the BBC, with an Audible distribution option for one of them. A few of you may have even been interviewed for one or both of these projects.
Also, in 2023, some other independent media appearances by me should be showing up. More info as it gets closer to release time.
I was talking to my old friend Denny Unger a few days ago, and we rambled down memory lane about the “old days” of the Internet, which was synchronistically (if that’s not a word it should be) the subject of this audio doing a summation of the end of one of my favorite lit mags, Misery Tourism.
It sums up my feelings about marginal authors like yours truly and the effect of the modern social media landscape on indie artists. MT introduced me to some of the best writers I might not have been introduced to otherwise. RIP MT.
I am going to try something here. I am going to do a poll. I know, I know, but I’m really curious about investing more time in this medium. Or not. So, without too much build-up, let us get to it.
While I won’t depend on the results of this poll 100% to make my decision, I will consider it.

Of course, f*ck clocks and calendars, but I wish you all a wonderful end of the year as we get ready to travel around the sun again.
Best to all of you and your families, extended and otherwise.
